Happy Summer, everyone! After a couple years of hunkering down, doesn’t this year feel more vibrant? Get-togethers and travel are back, and the whole city just feels alive. In addition to staying cool, comfortable, and stylish in Cotidié clothing, here are some of my holy grail favorites for Summer.
Sunscreen
My skin care for my face doesn’t really change in the summer, but I do double up on sunscreen! EltaMD SPF 46 is my go-to for my face. It absorbs quickly and works well under makeup.
Because of all the sunscreen I’m wearing, I tend to wear a lot more lotion, especially on my legs. Sunscreen just really dries me out, and nothing hydrates as well as The Reparative Body Lotion by Le Mer.
Shoes
Summertime means open toe everything! Some of my faves I’m currently wearing:
- The slides by Freedom Moses are a must have for the pool!
- An oldie but a goodie, the Paily Heels by Dolce Vita are so comfortable that they’re the only pair I pack for nice dinners while traveling.
- When the occasion calls for business casual vibes, I immediately reach for these Gucci horsebit mules. I love the retro feel!
Destination
Living in Houston, a pool is a must during the summer. I’m currently accepting invites! Later this summer we are heading to Italy. We can’t wait to spend a few days on the Amalfi Coast – it’s been on my wish list for a long time!
Cocktail
My summer cocktail staple is the Pimm’s Cup which I discovered while I lived in London. It’s so refreshing and a must-try! Here’s the recipe:
Gently stir 1 1/2 ounces Pimm's No. 1 with 4 1/2 ounces sparkling lemonade and pour over a tall glass of ice. Add a fresh spring of mint and some slices of cucumber and strawberries to garnish. Enjoy!
Apps for capturing summer photos
The Lightroom app is on my phone for quick editing on-the-go when a picture needs a little brightening or cropping.
