The introduction of the best selling Gabrielle dress in a new color – Basil – is the best news to happen to this pretty pleated perfection of a dress since it’s original launch. Let’s dig in a bit deeper with our founder, Kristina, to learn more about the inspiration behind the new colorway.
What makes the Gabrielle such an essential piece?
The versatility of the Gabrielle makes it my go to dress. I dress it up with heels and a belt, or leave it loose and flowy paired with sandals or sneakers for a day of errands. It’s so easy to pull together an effortless outfit in the Gabrielle.
What inspired the color Basil?
We put it to a vote! We shared a list of new colors with our Cotidié team and some friends and family, and Basil was the most popular color!
What are some of the new design features?
There are three main design updates to the Basil version of the Gabrielle dress:
- It has pockets! This was something that customers kept asking for and I knew we had to deliver. Who doesn’t love a dress with pockets?!
- The length of the Gabrielle is now the same in the front and back. This even hemline was another customer suggestion that we felt would make the Gabrielle even better than before.
- There is more room in the chest for additional comfort.
What are you most excited about with the new color?
The new color has such a fresh feeling! It’s perfect for the end of summer and transitioning into fall.
